This past Wednesday we had our first full class time discussion of leadership. We did not have any activities planned today which was abnormal compared to our normal class experience. There were a few things that happened in this class today that piqued my interest. One was that Dr. Feinberg was disappointed in our leaders because they did not arrange time in class to go over groups. I think that this point is very important because leaders need to be organized. I dont think organization alone can establish a good leader but lack there of can diminish a leaders abilities. After being called out I dont think that the leaders will have a problem jumping ahead and recognizing what needs to be done. Another thing that piqued my interest was Dr. Feinberg's problem with the computer sound. This classroom is notorious for having computer problems and the computer should have been checked before class was started. That is also a great example of organization. These thoughts are not to point out mistakes but really to show how this class is allowing me to become more aware of the behavior of others as well as my own. I also am more aware of how my leadership actions affect others. Since the first day of class I have observed leadership a little more closely. I believe that no matter how great a lecture is, actions teach a better lesson.
